The Canada Games Centre and Atlantic Cirque are joining forces and bringing you Circus Arts classes in Clayton Park!
Classes are starting the week of September 19th (12 week session)
Tuesdays
Parent Child (ages 3 & 4) 5pm to 6pm
Pirouette (ages 5 &6) 6pm to 7pm
Apprentice (ages 13 to 17) 7pm to 8:30pm
Thursdays
Voltige (Ages 7 to 12) 6pm to 7:30pm
Adult (ages 18+) 7:30pm to 9pm
Registrations for these programs are done through the Canada Game Centre at 902-490-2400

Atlantic Cirque is Atlantic Canada's first and only school of Circus Arts & Artist Agency. Their mission is to introduce the arts of circus to kids and parents. The circus school offers classes, birthday parties, corporate team building, workshops and camps in a structured and safe environment under the instruction and supervision of circus professionals some of whom are former Cirque du Soleil artists. At Atlantic Cirque, individuals have the opportunity to learn aerial skills, acrobatics, contortion, trampoline, human pyramids, handstand, juggling, unicycle, stilts walking & much more.

On the site of the present-day Alderney Landing there was once a circus ground. On certain nights in October, the ghosts of the carnival return―midway music and smells, the sound of hawkers, the glow of sideshow tents and strings of bare bulbs blaze overhead. The crowd is confronted by performers and clowns, the mood is dark, a bit dangerous. The performers are looking for something, something stolen from them long ago―the essence of their circus. Join them on this adventure of redemption as the dark side seeks its light.
