Great Big Gig Raises over $110,000 for IWK
November 7, 2004
Presented by The Robertson Surrette Group
Casino Nova Scotia

We are pleased to report that the third annual Great Big Gig was a resounding success once again. In five short hours, this showcase of Atlantic Canadian youth musical talent raised over $110,000 for the IWK Health Centre at the Casino Nova Scotia on November 6, 2004.

In addition to enjoying the blockbuster line-up of entertainment including J.P. LeBlanc, Canadian Primos, Canadian Idol star Kaleb Simmonds, Laura Watson, Jana Miller and Anais Guimond and her talented team of performers at Atlantic Cirque, guests rallied to support the cause with a strong level of participation in the silent auction. This impressive collection of items managed to bring in over $57,000. How’s that for generosity!

A sincere thank you to all of our generous sponsors, corporate table purchasers and silent auction donors for their tremendous support.

As presenting sponsors for this event for the past three years, Robertson Surrette now passes the torch to Tom Smith and his team at TIMBR Mart.

Kind words came from MP Michael Savage who spoke in the House of Commons on November 18th. Savage congratulated organizers of the event and paid tribute to Robertson Surrette for their fundraising excellence raising in excess of $300,000 for the IWK over the past three years.
