JOB OPPORTUNITY: ADMINISTRATIVE-COORDINATOR
DESCRIPTION
Title: Administrative Coordinator
Hourly rate: $12-16 (based on previous experience)
Contract dates: June to December 2014 (with possible contract extension)
Training: May 2014
Work Schedule: 15 to 20 hours/week (possible additional hours if combined with this position)
Purpose of Position
The Administrative-Coordinator is responsible for organizing and coordinating office operations and procedures in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the school. In addition, the Administrative-Coordinator will provide strong leadership and problem solving skills on a daily basis.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a positive outgoing person with strong communication and leadership skills with a passion for entrepreneurship and business growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Take and returns phone messages and emails
• Schedule of groups and courses
• Ensure member records are maintained and up to date
• Accounts receivable
• Provide help with the promotions and marketing
• Maintain and replenish inventory for items required to facilitate events and meetings
• Establishes and maintains paperwork, accounts and filing
• Oversee booking coordinator staff and liaise on tasks
• Establish good relationship with staff and members
• Perform other related duties as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of office procedures and methods including telephone communications and office systems
• Knowledge of business communication, including style and format of letters, memoranda, and reports
• Excellent desktop computer skills on Apple computers with experience in Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Self-directed, organized and willing to take initiative
• Strong written and oral communication skills & strong interpersonal skills
• Thrives in a multi-tasked, multi-project, fast paced environment with children
• Strong problem solving skills with a good sense of urgency and judgment
• Ability to handle confidential files and issues in a professional manner
• Available to work outside of normal working hours, as required
Requirements
Previous administrative and scheduling experience.
Willing to work additional hours during busy periods, and a few hours over the weekend.
Knowledge of the French language would be an asset. A candidate with a car is mandatory.
